Up for sale is a
Vintage “Handy-Adder” Supermarket Calculator
!
This is a red plastic hand-held adding device with white push buttons from the
1960s!
It was commonly used in supermarkets and grocery stores to total items while shopping. The Handy-Adder measures about 3⅝” wide x 1⅝” tall (2” with buttons). It is marked
“Handy-Adder”
and
“Dollars … Dimes … Cents”
in white on the front and
“Made in Hong Kong”
in fine print on the back. As shown in the photos, this Handy-Adder is in very good condition for its age with a little surface wear from use. The push-buttons all work, and the calculator adds properly. I did not see any cracks or breaks in the plastic. This vintage supermarket Handy-Adder hand-held calculator would make a great addition to your collection!
